Our Philosophy

We understand that the solution to any existing dynamics or fatigue problem often relies on a thorough knowledge and consideration of both analytical modelling and physical measurement. The combined information that this provides coupled with a practical approach, is proven to provide the best and most reliable outcomes to achieve an optimal solution.

At the design stage when physical measurement is not possible, it is fundamentally important to review the predicted strength, fatigue, and dynamic performance of any proposed design prior to its construction, with due consideration of inherent simulation and analysis limitations. Combining this with an all-encompassing range of other green and brown fields experience, ensures realistic outcomes and predictions are achieved.

Managing Director

Stuart Herrald

Stuart is the Managing Director and owner of EDC. With over 40 years of practical engineering experience, Stuart is an industry recognised expert in the field of structural dynamics. His range of simulation and test and measurement experience is extensive, with an emphasis on world class solutions for fatigue and vibration issues across all types of fixed and mobile mining equipment, with significant emphasis on bulk handling machinery throughout Australia and Overseas. Stuart has lived abroad and facilitated in the design, fabrication and delivery of all the bulk handling machines and car dumper for the Roy Hill Project and provided similar services for other clients / projects in China.
Chief Executive Officer

Robert Krupic

Robert Joined EDC in 2022 as Chief Executive Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and has over 25 years’ experience within the resources mining and automotive industries throughout Australia and Internationally. Robert moved to Western Australia in 2012 working within the mining sector gaining extensive experience leading multi-disciplined teams and achieving tier one mining projects as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Operations and General Manager. Throughout his career Robert has developed a wealth of business skills with a strong emphasis on organisational leadership, team development, safety and quality assurance, finance management, pre-contracts and project management disciplines.
Chief Financial Officer

Nadia Elliott

Nadia has a commerce degree majoring in Accounting and Management and over 25 years experience in corporate accounting and taxation. Nadia joined EDC in 2015 and manages the organisation’s accounts, human resources, insurance, administrative and office requirements.
Engineering Manager

John Shedley

John has been with EDC since 2003, throughout his career he has applied advanced analysis and measurement techniques to provide practical solutions to a wide range of machinery and structures and across a variety of industries.
Principal Engineer

Mark Thrift

Mark is the founder of EDC commencing in 1993. He has been heavily involved in structural dynamics for over 35 years with a strong emphasis on the application of experimental and analytical methods such as modal analysis, stress measurement, finite element analysis, statistical energy analysis, machine condition monitoring, and other similar techniques in the resolution of dynamics and vibration problems.
Project Controls Manager

Glen Jupp

Glen joined EDC in 2020 after many years as a Senior Leader and Manager in the travel industry within Australia and internationally. Glen holds an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and Product Development as well as a Diploma of Management. His extensive experience as State Sales Leader for a Global Travel Company includes exercising his skills in leadership, management reporting, consulting and business development. This has led him to his current position as our Project Controls Manager where he focuses on supporting our team toward delivering professional project outcomes that meet the clients’ financial and contractual expectation.
