Overview

Critical buckling failure is when a member in compression suddenly collapses and can no longer support any load. Design against such failure is fundamentally important to ensure the stability and structural integrity of machines and structures.

EDC has the capability to conduct linear and non-linear material and non-linear geometric buckling analysis, with extensive experience in evaluating critical buckling failures of the following assets:

  • Bulk handling machinery
  • Silos, bins & Train Load Outs
  • Steel buildings
